Data notes

Flows measure net creations and redemptions from changes in issuer holdings files. They are measured analytics, not exchange trading volume or an official consolidated fund-flow tape. File revisions, rebalances and corporate actions can affect availability.

Coverage currently comes from selected U.S.-listed funds managed by iShares, SPDR, Invesco and Global X, including funds investing overseas. It does not cover every ETF or issuer. Multi-class Vanguard funds are excluded from this flow dataset.

Periods use available market closes, not calendar days. Only funds measured on every close of the selected window, with consecutive underlying files, enter the rankings and totals. Missing values are never treated as zero. This means coverage and totals can change between periods. Direction filters classify a fund by its net flow over the whole period.

Flow / assets is the selected net dollar flow divided by the latest available rounded reported fund AUM. It is an approximate size comparison, not an investment return; the AUM snapshot can be newer than the flow period. No percentage is shown without a positive reported AUM. Reported assets snapshot: —.

Each visit or Refresh data request checks the latest published snapshot. Flow history is kept only in the open page, with no bulk archive. The date shown is the flow date, which can lag today. Longer periods become available only when sufficient observations are provided.
