Yield & spread comparison

Select a country to explore its history. Sort any column to compare markets.

Spread = country yield minus benchmark yield on the same date or month. Change uses the dates stated by the selected date basis: one common earlier date in Comparable date mode, or each series’ previous observation in Latest available mode. High/low use available observations over the preceding 12 months; a short history is left blank. A dash means no matching value. Fitted curves are estimates from end-of-day bond data, not executable quotes.

Data notes

Spreads are calculated in basis points as (country yield − benchmark yield) × 100. Both observations must have the same date or month, frequency and maturity label. Missing matches are not filled forward. The latest matching period in the chart can differ from a country’s latest individual reading.

Monthly averages are not today’s tradable yields. Daily series use national conventions: constant-maturity, interpolated or selected benchmark yields. UK data is the Bank of England nominal par curve. Rows marked Fitted curve use bondScovery sovereign curves built from end-of-day executions and quotes. Their methodology differs from a single benchmark bond and from official par yields. These comparisons are indicative, not currency-hedged returns or identical securities. Local closes are not simultaneous quotes.

History depends on each source’s available records. Twelve-month highs and lows use observations within the preceding year; incomplete or saved summaries may omit them. Older readings are excluded by default. No value is substituted with zero.

South Korea: Ministry of Finance and Economy, Daily Economic Indicators (open-data dataset 3034223; free, unrestricted reuse).
