The development

The Solana Foundation announced on September 16, 2026 that Project Harmonia had opened a request for proposals connecting Allfunds’ distribution network with Solana. The announcement set an October 24 submission deadline and targeted the first cohort for the fourth quarter of 2026 and first quarter of 2027. It includes tracks for existing tokenized funds and products still in development.

FOLITIC analysis

Distribution can be a larger obstacle than creating a token. Asset managers need investors who are eligible to subscribe, intermediaries able to service them and a process for redemptions and reporting. A connection to an established distribution network could help with access, but it does not ensure that investors allocate money.

The size of a distributor’s existing business should therefore not be presented as assets already committed to a blockchain. Potential reach, approved products and funded subscriptions are different stages. Combining them into one adoption number would exaggerate the commercial outcome.

For tokenized fund investors, the legal fund and its operating documents remain central. A faster transfer mechanism does not remove portfolio risk, management fees or restrictions on redemption. The design also needs to explain what happens when a wallet transfer is technically possible but the recipient is not an eligible fund investor.

What to watch

Follow the selected cohort, actual launches and disclosed subscriptions after the application period. Compare the tokenized product with the conventional share class on costs, dealing windows and investor rights. The program’s proposed timetable is a milestone to monitor rather than proof of completed distribution.
