The development
Aave Labs announced Aave V4 on Avalanche on July 15, 2026. The deployment introduced a Core Liquidity Hub with Main, AVAX Correlated and Forex markets. The announcement describes this as V4’s first deployment beyond its original network. This article reviews the market structure introduced in July rather than presenting it as a new October launch.

FOLITIC analysis
Pooling liquidity can improve the ability to match lenders and borrowers, while separate markets allow different collateral and risk settings. Those benefits should not be confused with a guarantee that every deposit has the same risk or that a withdrawal can always occur immediately.
A lender needs to understand which borrowers can access the supplied asset, how collateral is valued and how losses would be handled. A market with highly correlated collateral may behave differently during a broad selloff from one backed by a more varied set of assets. Liquidation execution and available liquidity become particularly important under stress.
The displayed yield is another incomplete signal. It can change with borrowing demand and may include incentives that are temporary. An attractive percentage should be considered alongside utilization, collateral concentration, software risk and the cost of moving assets to the relevant network. A higher rate can be compensation for a less favorable risk profile.
What to watch
Track market parameters, independent risk assessments, utilization and realized liquidation outcomes. Confirm whether any advertised return includes incentives and whether those incentives are paid in a different asset. Evaluate the particular lending market being used rather than treating a familiar protocol name as a uniform risk rating.
